This is a new brake cable set for for MOST ATB and MTB bicycles.  It is for the front OR rear brake.  It is in the factory package.
This cable is made by CLARK'S, which is a well-know manufacturer of cables.
We will send
2 end tips
to put on the end of the inner cable after you cut it to the correct length.
The inner cable has a barrel end - it does not have the ball type end that fits road bikes.   One of the pictures above shows the shape of the barrel end.
The manufacturer says the
INNER CABLE
IS COVERED
with Black Teflon.
The length of the inner cable is 78".  It is made of standard steel strands that are wound around each other just like all of the cable that you have seen.
The length of the BLACK outer housing  is 46".  The diameter of the housing is about 5 mm.
Please measure your old cable to be sure this is long enough.
If it is too long, you will need to cut it to the length you need.
It has 2 ferrules,
one for each end.
One of the pictures above shows the 2 ferrules together, but that is not the way they should be on a bicycle.  You can easily remove the ferrules and put them wherever you want to put them.
It DOES NOT have an end nipple (end button),
like some brake levers need. Most ATB and MTB brake levers cannot use an end button. You can see a picture of an end button in one of my other cable ads.

Description of Cable End Tips:
This is 2 new cable end tips.  The color is silver.  The brand is CLARKS.  They are made of aluminum alloy.  The length of each end tip is about 15/32" which is about 12 mm.  They do not come in a factory package because we buy them in bulk.
You can put one of these little aluminum alloy tips on the end of your brake or gear inner cable  to prevent the little strands of wire from separating. You just slip an end tip onto the end of the cable wire and then mash it with pliers so it will stay on.  You can mash it between 2 nails and it will not flatten as much of the tip.
